In April 2020 Khadro-la (Rangjung Neljorma Khadro Namsel Drönme) recommended a practice to stop the spread of Covid-19: The Inseparability of the Spiritual Master and Avalokiteshvara: A Source of All Powerful Attainments (Avalokiteshvara Guru Yoga), composed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama at age nineteen.

On April 18 and 19 Andy Wistreich explained the practice in a weekend course organized by Dharma center Ganden Tendar Ling in Moscow.
