OK Go's new video features (mostly) Rescued Dogs & encourages donations to ASPCA

OK, this brand new official video for OK Go's song 'White Knuckles' makes me love this band even more than I did when I previously posted about them:)

Here's the note from the band's "Dogs" page on the band's website:

Most of the dogs in the White Knuckles video are rescues. They’re the lucky ones – they have loving families. Unfortunately, there countless animals out there who do not.

When you buy the White Knuckles video on this page, net proceeds go to the ASPCA, specifically earmarked to support rural, volunteer-run animal shelters in America. You can buy the video at whichever price you like, and you can buy it as many times as you like. Just keep in mind, the profits are going to save animals. Be generous.

Additional notes regarding the video:
* Directed by Trish Sie and OK Go. Produced by Shirley Moyers.
* Special thanks to Lauren Henry and Roland Sonnenburg and their team of trainers from Talented Animals, the town of Corvallis OR for being so welcoming to us, NYPro for donating the space.

In addition to everything else that I already love about this project, I love that the band is experimenting with a donation-based viral video campaign. I blogged a little bit about the band's use of viral video here.

OK Go tells Record Label EMI to Get with The Times

Yeah! HeadCount published this blog post that I wrote yesterday, after reading this Fast Company article about OK Go's departure from EMI.

As someone who greatly enjoys embedding YouTube videos in a 3rd-party site for promotional purposes (can you tell?:), this is fascinating stuff.

Speaking of, here's a great, quick recap of OK Go's time on Capitol Hill, advocating for net neutrality -

PS - I LOVE the HeadCount blog:)
