The Yes Men's Coca-Cola Pledge @ COP15

On Friday night The Yes Men pulled another great stunt, this time in Copenhagen @ the City Hall Square. Two "Coca-Cola employees" disgusted with their employer's environmental and human rights abuses, spoke out -

This statement is based on very real environmental and human rights abuses perpetrated by Coca-Cola including:

Columbia - Coca-Cola partnered with paramilitary death squads to murder trade union activists at Coca-Cola's bottling plants from 1990 to 2002.

India - while Coca-Cola bottles leave the plant by the truckload, 70% of the country's residents who depend on agriculture for their livelihood trek up to 3 miles to obtain drinkable water. Coca-Cola has been offering the cadmium, lead and chromium-contaminated waste from its plant as "free fertilizer" to local farmers, thereby contaminating their crops.
