Retracing my journey: Kopan Monastery November Course

Lama Zopa Rinpoche's first teaching during the November 2014 Course - November 29, 2014.
I got to spend more than a month (46 days, to be exact) studying and practicing Tibetan Buddhism at Kopan Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal last year. I had traveled there to take the One Month Lam Rim Meditation Course, better known to many as "the November Course".

I had heard little about the course before committing to it, but it didn't take long after arriving at Kopan to realize how fortunate I was to be at Kopan and in the course. I decided early on to capture the experience on film, audio, and still photography so that I could later try to convey the power of it to others.

This is the result of that effort.

I would like to thank my friends at the Puget Sound Blood Center and Lisa Pike Sheehy for encouraging me to share this story.

You can read a more detailed account of my experience of the November Course, or see a photo journal of my time in Nepal on my blog.
