Venerable Amy Miller gave a beautiful, helpful, inspiring, and practical one-and-a-half hour talk on how to make the best use of our time during Covid-19 on April 16, 2020. This Fireside Chat was organized by Jamyang Buddhist Centre London.

Covid-19 Group Practice


She is leading the practice recommended by Lama Zopa Rinpoche to stop the spread of Covid-19, hosted by Shantideva Center in Brooklyn, NY.

These guided group practices are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 - 10:30 AM PT. Check the Shantideva Center website for details. You can also watch a recording of one of the past practice sessions on YouTube.


Venerable Amy Miller



"Amy J. Miller (Ven. Lobsang Chodren) first encountered Tibetan Buddhism in the spring of 1987 during a course at Kopan Monastery in Nepal. Since then, she has spent a great deal of time engaged in meditation retreats, study, teaching, and Buddhist center management throughout the world. Prior to meeting the Dharma, Amy was a political fundraiser in Washington, DC and also worked for Mother Jones Magazine in San Francisco, California.

"Amy also trained as an emotional support hospice counselor during the peak of the AIDS epidemic in San Francisco and offers courses and retreats on death and dying and end-of- life care."
