Yesterday, the White House honored 14 leaders in American Diaspora communities with roots in the Horn of Africa as Champions of Change. These leaders are helping to build stronger neighborhoods in communities across the country, and are working to mobilize networks across borders to address global challenges.
I found out about it via Akili Dada, an organization that I got to visit when I was in Nairobi last summer. As a result I was able to watch both panels on the live stream yesterday. I particularly loved hearing from the high school and college students on the panels. Thanks to @JonCarson44 for hosting on behalf of the White House!
