More on Rizwana Hasan here. She's the Executive Director of the Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association, which is a member of the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide and the IUCN - the World Conservation Union.
I love that Rizwana is affiliated with the IUCN!
The IUCN's membership includes 75 countries, 106 governmental agencies, and over 850 non-governmental organizations. In 2003 one of my environmental law professors, the absolutely amazing Nick Robinson, founded the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law, a consortium that now includes more than 100 universities around the world that have environmental law programs. It is the first learned society ever established in environmental law. I'm guessing that Professor Robinson and Rizwana know each other:)
