Romanian Waters Campaign wins UK's Green (Marketing) Award

The UK's Green Awards were launched in 2006 to recognize and reward creative works that communicate the importance of corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, and ethical best practices, within the marketing field.

The goal of the awards is to raise awareness of green issues, boost the role of marketing in influencing and informing consumer behavior, and to provide companies with a high-profile platform to showcase their commitments to the earth.

Categories are: GRAND PRIX; Best Green Audiovisual under 50K, and over 50K; Best Green Campaigner; Best Green Digital; Best Green Direct Mail; Best Green Internal Communications under 50K, and over 50K; Best Green Integrated Campaign under 50K, and over 50K; Best Green International Campaign; Best Green Outdoor under 50K, and over 50K; Best Green Press; Best Green PR Campaign under 50K, and over 50K; Best Green Packaging under 50K, and over 50K; Best Green Website under 50K, and over 50K; and Best Green Radio.

There were 2 winners in this year's Best Green International Campaign category. One of these winners was Romania's Let's Keep the Waters Clean campaign. I wish that I could read the campaign description on the website, but these ads are fantastic!

From what I can tell, Ana-Maria Tanase, spokesperson at Administratia Nationala "Apele Romane", played a significant role in the campaign. Again, I can't read it, but there are some good photos on the campaign's blog, including the photo below, taken at the awards ceremony.
