EmergenC Teams Up with Artist Jay Alders & Surfrider

From Jay Alders' February 2009 e-newsletter:

When my West Coast pals at EmergenC called me last year and told me they wanted me to design the packaging for their new product, I jumped on-board.

EmergenC Vitamin and Energy Drink is already in my daily routine and most of my Musician friends swear by it while on tour.

They wanted me to use my Artistic Style to portray "Clean Water" and make it tie in the feeling of Surfing.

I was really please to hear also that they partnered with The Surfrider Foundation on this project, which is one of my favorite Charities.

"I am thrilled to announce the launch of our new cause-based product, Emergen-C BLUE," says Michael Galef, Emergen-C Vice President of Marketing. "Threats to our waterways and the effects of pollutants on our health are overwhelming. With Emergen-C BLUE, our goal is to get consumers as interested in Going Blue as they are in going green, and there is not a more powerful way to achieve this than by joining forces with the Surfrider Foundation," says Galef.

The new flavor and my package design will be release between March and April 2009 and will be available at a local store near you.

In addition, stay tuned for info on the upcoming Emergen-C BLUE launch event, MaliBLUE, taking place on April 26, 2009, in Malibu, CA. The event will celebrate art and water in all its incarnations, with proceeds benefiting the Surfrider Foundation.
