Just finished reading the the Voluntourism Debate, hosted by Saul Garlick on Social Edge. I enjoyed the suggestion that instead of going to a new community and employing community members in your projects, that you should be employed by community members in their projects.
This is one of my favorite nonprofits, New Scholars. (Yes, I've blogged about the org before:)
