Free Fair Trade Halloween Packs for Kids

Saw this in the latest snail mail newsletter that I received from Green America:

The Reverse Trick-or-Treating campaign is a collaboration between several nonprofits and 5 fair trade chocolate companies. The goal is to get the word out this Halloween that most chocolate sold in the USA is tainted by child slavery & exploitive working conditions for the adult workers.

Order a free Reverse Trick-or-Treating kit for your trick-or-treaters. The kit includes fair trade chocolates & info cards for the kids to hand out to the houses that they visit on Halloween.

Why should you participate?

That was a trailer for a film called "Harry and the Chocolate Factory." Unfortunately I couldn't find a place to watch the full film online but it sounds great if you can locate it.

For more info about this issue check out Green America's corporate irresponsibility report for Hershey here.

note: the photo in this post is not representative of the chocolate you would receive in your kit - I just liked the photo:)
