Check out this spoof of the De Beers "a diamond is forever" ad. "Plastic is Forever" was created by the Cricket Club of New York for Ecoagents, a non-profit organization behind the Eco-To-Go program.
If you live in NYC, ask participating restaurants to make your order Eco-To-Go. Your food will be delivered without unnecessary items such as plastic utensils and napkins. It takes 1,000+ years for a plastic fork to decompose. So like diamonds, plastic is forever.
This program will expand outside of NYC, so keep an eye out for it in a city near you!
